Hungarian Vizsla

The Hungarian vizsla holds a special place in my heart. They truly are a special breed. Aesthetically stunning, highly intelligent, huge characters.

Unfortunately some end up living in unstable situations and environments and need help.

Hungarian Vizsla Welfare Charity are a registered UK charity that work to rescue, foster, rehabilitate and rehome vizslas.

For every vizsla I work with, I donate 50% of my fees to this fantastic charity. If anyone local to us adopts a dog from them we’ll offer free continuation training.

They are always looking for suitable homes to adopt dogs and also people who can provide foster care.

Some of the dogs ready to rehome would make great gundogs, so anyone considering getting a vizsla should consider adopting a dog from them.

Hungarian Vizsla Welfare Charity's Work

Vizsla Welfare is a registered UK based charity (no. 1147353) and a Kennel Club Approved rescue and rehoming organisation. Set up in 2012, they were the first independent UK charity solely devoted to the rehoming, health and welfare of the Hungarian Vizsla.

Their Trustees, Welfare Officers, admin assistants and rehoming helpers are all volunteers, and working together they cover the whole of the UK mainland. They are affiliated to the Hungarian Vizsla Club, the oldest UK organisation dedicated to the breed, and they also work closely with the Hungarian Wire-haired Vizsla Club.

Their mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome Vizslas whose owners cannot keep them, for whatever reason, and to promote responsible ownership of the breed.

They also work to prevent rehoming by providing free training advice and behavioural support to struggling owners.
